It found lots of nasties on my pc when i first ran it ,now i don't get any infections because the tea timer is protecting me, it works like a barrier from my computer to the web to avoid some bugs.I would recommend Spybot as your number 1 anti-spyware program,but you must leave the tea timer and resident shield on AVG anti-spyware free as your second choice scanner as it has no realtime protection but the daily updates and the detection rate is excellent.

Spybot Search & Destroy (S&D) is a popular spyware and adware removal program compatible with Microsoft Windows 95 and later. It scans the computer hard disk and/orRAM for malicious software.

Spybot-S&D was written by the German software engineer Patrick Michael Kolla, and is distributed by Kolla's Irish company Safer Networking Limited. Development began in 2000 when Kolla, still a student, wrote a small program to deal with the Aureate/Radiateand Conducent TimeSink programs, two of the earliest examples of adware.
